Why We Built This Site
West Virginia permits public access to many court dockets and case files, but Berkeley County records do not sit in one database. WVPASS covers public Circuit Court cases and available documents. MCR supplies Magistrate Court case information. The Martinsburg Municipal Court handles its own ordinance and traffic records, and protected Family Court material follows separate rules. A docket is the running index of parties, filings, hearings, and outcomes. The clerk holds the official file behind that index. This site brings the verified search routes, court contacts, record distinctions, and request steps into one reference while leaving each official record with its proper custodian.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket types: how to locate and read Berkeley County criminal court dockets and civil court dockets
- Dates and settings: where to review the court schedule and confirm a current hearing with the court
- Case searches: how WVPASS and MCR support a docket search by name or case number
- Copies and files: how to seek court case records, documents, and certification from the correct clerk
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site with no affiliation to a West Virginia court, clerk, or government agency. Its role is limited:
- It cannot retrieve an official docket sheet or court file for a requester
- It cannot change, continue, or reset a hearing or court date
- It cannot seal, remove, correct, or amend a docket entry
- It cannot certify a docket, order, judgment, or other court document
- It cannot give legal advice about a Berkeley County case
- It cannot promise that a listed fee, setting, or contact detail remains current
An official or certified Berkeley County docket or court record must come from the clerk or the court that maintains the original file.
Search Partners
Third-party providers operate search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, terms, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for this site. That support helps make the public reference material available without charge. Search-provider data and fees remain outside our control, so readers should review the provider's terms before submitting information or paying.
